In one sentence

Tend the Night keeps your progress on your device and shares it with no one. Two situations send data off your phone, and you trigger both of them: the optional rewarded videos you choose to watch, handled by our advertising partner, and the optional purchases, handled by Google Play. There is no intrusive advertising.

What the app stores

Tend the Night stores your game progress, the state of your garden, your currencies (dew, light, Glow), your objectives, daily quests, and your display and sound preferences.

This data is kept on your device only, in the app’s private storage. No other app can read it, and we cannot either. It contains no personal data: no name, no email address, no contacts, no location, no photos, and no information about your health or your child’s.

Rewarded videos

The app offers optional rewarded videos: in exchange for a short video you choose to start, you receive an in-game bonus. They never appear on their own , no banners, no interstitials, nothing that interrupts play. Watching nothing denies you nothing essential.

These videos are served by Google AdMob. When you start one, AdMob may process technical data, including an advertising identifier, device type and an IP address, to deliver the video and prevent fraud. This processing is governed by Google’s privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). On our side we receive only an anonymous count of videos watched.

Consent. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent screen (Google UMP) is shown before any video. You may decline ad tracking; you can still watch videos, but non-personalised ones. You can change this choice at any time from the Profile screen.

The “Eternal Dream” purchase makes bonuses instant and removes rewarded videos. If you own it, the app no longer exchanges anything with AdMob.

In-app purchases

The app offers optional purchases: Light top-ups, “Eternal Dream”, and decorative worlds sold individually. The pass and the worlds are bought once and kept for good.

These payments are handled by Google Play. We neither see nor keep your payment method, your name or your address. Play only returns a purchase token to the app, which does not identify you, and which is used to credit what you bought and then confirm delivery to Google.

On launch, the app asks Google Play for the list of purchases you have already paid for. That is what restores “Eternal Dream” and your worlds after a reinstall or on a new phone, without you having to create an account with us. These exchanges are governed by Google’s privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

What the app does not do

Backing up your progress

Two mechanisms can copy your progress off the device. Both are under your control.

Android automatic backup. If you have enabled app backup in your phone’s settings, Android periodically copies the app’s data to your personal Google Drive space. That copy is performed by the operating system, not by the app; it is encrypted and tied to your Google account. We have no access to it. You can disable this in your Android settings.

Manual export. The Profile screen lets you export your progress to a .json file, saved wherever you choose, and import it back later, when switching phones, for instance. That file leaves your device only if you move it yourself. It contains nothing but game state.

Permissions requested

PermissionWhy
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)To remind you that your dew is full. Optional: decline it and the game works exactly the same.
Vibration (VIBRATE)Subtle haptic feedback when plants merge.
Network access (INTERNET)Load the optional rewarded videos and talk to Google Play for purchases.
Billing (com.android.vending.BILLING)Open the Google Play payment window. Added automatically by Google’s library, it grants access to no data on the device.

The app requests no other permission.

Children

Tend the Night is not intended for, nor directed at, children under 13. We knowingly collect no data about them. Rewarded videos are not targeted and, where consent is declined or the audience is untargeted, are served non-personalised.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over your personal data.

On our side we hold no personal data that identifies you. For data processed by AdMob during rewarded videos, refer to Google’s policy and to the consent screen, where you can withdraw your agreement. To erase all local data, uninstall the app; the system then deletes its private storage.

You may write to contact@emaginer.fr with any question, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (in France, the CNIL, www.cnil.fr).

Changes

Any change to this policy will be published at this address with a revised update date. If a future version introduces new data processing, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
